SMART Management, Inc. is proud to serve as the electronic health record for Montefiore-Einstein Division of Substance Abuse. This remarkable organization recently hosted a day-long addiction treatment conference in New York.

This gathering – On the Front Lines of the Opioid Epidemic – was for treatment professionals seeking to increase their exposure to information about the latest advancements in the field. Presenters and panelists took an intensive look at the history and future of opioid use disorder, and it’s the effect on the surrounding communities

Attendees enjoyed knowledge sharing with experts from Montefiore, Einstein, Boston Medical Center, NYU Langone, The Rockefeller University, and New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Moreover, a panel of patients took part, speaking in detail about their experiences in treatment. Besides the thought-provoking sessions, attendees also participated in naloxone training, received kits, and enjoyed a complimentary lunch while perusing the Montefiore OUD patient art exhibit.

“We hope that this conference inspires people to really expand treatment…they too can do this..”

Dr. Chinazo Cunningham Montefiore Medical Center, Physician
