National Heart Month & National Wear Red Day

SMART's President during National Heart MonthSMART Management, Inc. has established an associate run community awareness team to raise awareness of a different cause each month. February is National Heart Month. Our goal is to raise awareness of the importance of keeping your heart healthy. The hope is to empower associates to take control of their personal cardiovascular health. Symptoms of a heart attack vary between men and women. It is important that our associates are aware of the different signs, especially if heart disease runs in the family.

Wear Red Day

National Heart Month -Team-Red

February 7th is National Wear Red Day. The American Heart Association started the “Go Red for Women” campaign. This is aimed at educating the public about women and cardiovascular disease. A heart attack is the number one killer of women today. It’s called the “silent killer”. Most women do not recognize the symptoms of heart disease until it’s too late. SMART Associates participated in wearing red on this day and/or wore their “Red Dress” pins/stickers. SMART is very proud of our associates for showing their support. It’s “heart” warming to see so many willing participants.
